BETHEL WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Vision Statement: To encourage fellowship, friendship and a closer walk with God among our women.
Embrace Ministry Team Meeting
Anyone can join our Women's Ministry Team. We meet on the second Sunday at 5 PM each month. We plan and focus on the needs of our women and what we can do to help disciple, help evangelize and mission projects in our church, community and abroad.
Women’s Night Out is the second Tuesday of each month from 6-8 PM. We start out at 6:00 with a meal then go to a time of singing, skits, Bible study and enjoying each other.
Community Kitchen
Our group cooks and serves supper every 3rd Monday of each month. We also lead a Bible Devotion to those in attendance. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed!

"Pain With A Purpose"
This ministry started September 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM - 12 Noon. It is being led by Chronic Pain Sufferer, Bonnie Burgess. They are meeting every other week in the Fellowship Hall, under the main Sanctuary, to discuss coping with Chronic Pain with help from a loving Jesus. All men and women chronic pain sufferers are welcome from not only our Church but all other churches. It will be a time of refreshing in the Lord.
Here are some of the activities we sponsor throughout the year:
In February, we host the "We Love Our Church" Banquet on the Sunday closest to Valentines Day.
In May we have our Mother's Day Event on the Saturday before Mother's Day.
In July we serve snacks at Camp New Life.
In August we start our "Operation Christmas Child" Shoebox drive.
On the 2nd Sunday in October we have a food drive on World Hunger Sunday.
On the 1st Saturday in November we have our "Festival of Holidays" Banquet.
On the Thursday before Thanksgiving we serve the Senior Saints and Shut-in's a Thanksgiving meal.
In December we raise awareness and money for the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions.
We have an annual Women's Retreat either in the Fall or Spring, (To be determined by available events).
August
Operation Christmas Child We begin promotion of this mission project in August even though the shoeboxes are not turned in until the first of November. Our goal for 2010 is 250 shoe boxes
October
World Hunger Sunday – We sponsor this and encourage participation by all church members. Everyone is asked to bring a grocery bag of groceries on this Sunday to help stock the food pantries at Haywood Christian Ministries and the Baptist Food Pantry in Clyde.
November
Festival of Holidays This is a catered dinner for any adult in the church who would like to sign up and attend. Tables are decorated and filled by table hostesses and it is a beautiful and entertaining night.
Senior Saint’s Thanksgiving Luncheon – We cook and serve our Senior Saint’s a Thanksgiving meal on the Thursday before the week of Thanksgiving. Many choose to come and fellowship and eat at the church, and for those who can’t get out to attend, meals are taken to their homes.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are turned in the first of November. Last year we took a group to Charlotte to work in the Operation Christmas Child warehouse.
May
Mother’s Day Tea – A time for the women and girls of the church to be honored in a way we don’t do very often
July
Camp New Life The ladies help serve refreshments twice a day during a week of camp for the children attending this summer camp sponsored by the Baptist Association.
We also sponsor a couple of different “Get-a-ways” for the women during the year. Some examples are “Women of Faith Conferences”, “Hot Springs Retreat with Mary Johnson”, “Beth Moore Seminar” and other opportunities as they arise.
