What is JVs?
JV's is a division of the Awana Ministry. It started to meet a need for the in-betweens, 6th through 8th grade.
These kids face a set of problems that is particular to their age group; they're not kids, but they're not "full-fledged" teens.
Our desire is that they grow at their own pace. We want to meet them at their maturity level.
JV's meets on Wednesday nights, 6:30 pm during the school year and 7 pm during the summer.
Order of Service
- Social activity
- Snack
- Class/prayer time
Lessons consist of Awana curriculum supplemented by a personal challenge from the leader.
Who is the Leader?
JV's is led by Jeff Cairnes. Jeff and his wife, Debbie, have been married since they were a couple of years out of high school. They have two children, a boy - Jonathan, and a girl - Jessica. They have been attending Bethel for many years. Jeff and Debbie both grew up in the Canton area and currently live in Cruso.
Jeff became a believer during a revival led by Harold Hunter in 2004. He has a huge burden for young people, that they go God's way and not the way of society. His desire is that they completely understand what Christianity is and how to live the Christian life, what their responsibilities are and what is expected of them.
